The Earl Grey blend is thought to be named after Charles Grey, 2nd Earl Grey, British Prime Minister in the 1830s. It is unique in using oil obtained from the rind of the bergamot orange to add a special and unmistakable flavour.
This fabulous Earl Grey Blue Flowers tea blend uses the finest full-leaf tea from the uplands of Sri Lanka, which is then infused with natural Bergamot oil. The addition of cornflower petals to this blend makes this tea special and uniquely beautiful.
Brewing: Use one heaped tsp per person in a warmed pot and add freshly drawn boiling water. Brew for 3-4 minutes according to taste. Drink with or without milk and sugar.
Earl Grey Blue Flowers loose leaf tea
Elizabeth & Barry Chantler and have been enthusiastic about loose leaf tea for years.
They have travelled the world visiting tea plantations in India, Sri Lanka, China and South-East Asia and attending tea ceremonies in Hong Kong and Malaysia. They only sell teas that they would drink, and they only like the best! They are also passionate about a fairer world marketplace, one in which everybody benefits, and they are as fussy about the source as much as the teas themselves.
Tea is good for you, it has benefits both for the body as well as the mind, and the better the tea the more beneficial it becomes. They believe that we have a nation of t-bag drinkers who are missing out on an enlivening and new experience (there are over 10,000 different types of loose leaf tea!).
Their aim is to make fine loose leaf tea locally available and to convert as many people as they can, to share this exciting and rewarding world.
